Yesterday, we had a small get-together at Brendan’s.
The day begun with yet another sprint to the bus stop and ended just the same.
Curse the 754 which comes every hour…
Arrived early as planned – around 12.30 ish – however without Sneha. She caught the wrong bus.
Huey and Brendan were playing Halo 3 as I regained my energy on the couch. The sound of Grunts yelping was calming as I closed my eyes…
Before I knew it the gang finally arrived, just in time to see me get owned. I haven’t played Halo via console you see (yes, I know…) and basically struggled to kill anything due to my lack of coordination; I could hardly operate the view let alone shoot anything. I became victim to my own noobness, that is, until Lawrence came into the picture. Not only has he played before, but he clocked up more deaths than I did. Booyah.
Many jokes from Huey later…
The controllers went around the room, from Lilian to Sneha, to Cat, and we came to the conclusion that any FPS game + at least one noob = pure entertainment. There’s nothing funnier than watching someone struggle to walk in a straight line.
What made my day though, was turning around to see Lawrence holding Penny (Brendan’s dog) like a baby. It was possibly the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
I don’t know how it always comes to this, but someone started a pillow fight. I smugly looked on as others got bashed.
After insisting that we eat something other than Turkish Delight, Brendan’s sister kindly served us lunch once the pillows finally dropped to the floor. We watched Up as we devoured pizza and nachos.
For once I ate more than Lilian, then again, she already ate.
And I finally got to see Huey’s usb turned lego block! I don’t think I have the skill to make my own.. so care to buy me one? whoosh :D
As always, Cat brought more entertainment to an already entertaining film with her constant “oohs” and “ahhs“. I must say, very cute indeed.

So amazing yet oh-so young.
Dessert was served. Vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sauce, and homemade chocolate chip brownies is the best fucking combination. Ever.
Another pillow fight initiated. This time it was plushy chaos. A child’s toy (in the shape of a turd) was flung across the room at supersonic speeds. Laughter filled the room as failed attempts (namely my own) missed the target completely.

Tired, we lay slumped on the couch not knowing what to do, that is, until the TV’s screensaver came on.
It was a 32 bit animation of a captain stranded on an island. We watched as he attempted to fish, fix a raft, harvest coconuts and, uh, get undressed? We were there for a good 10 minutes trying to guess what he would do next.
Halo was revved up once again, but this time the tables had turned. Let’s just say I owned Cat 5963 - 678 or there abouts. Mind you the par score was 20K. Hah!
Having said that, the power went straight to my head and later asked to verse Brendan. Bad, bad idea.
